Financial Planning & Reporting Analyst
The Financial Planning & Reporting Analyst drives financial visibility and decision-making across Skanem Africa by managing multi-entity IFRS consolidations (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and Skanem Developments). The role delivers timely group reporting packs, customer and job margin analysis, and unified budget models to support regional growth and operational efficiency.
Own the monthly consolidation - Consolidate results for Skanem Nairobi, Uganda, Tanzania and Developments under IFRS. This includes intercompany reconciliations and eliminations, and translation from KES, UGX and TZS into the Group reporting currency.
Produce the reporting packs - Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts and Group reporting packs on Group timelines.
Analyse the drivers of profit - Report on revenue, gross margin, job and product costing, material yield and waste, and press utilisation. Explain variances against budget and forecast in plain language.
Coordinate budgets and forecasts - Build the budget and rolling forecast models, collect inputs from the entities, and maintain cash flow forecasts and scenarios.
Support commercial decisions - Provide analysis for customer pricing, quote reviews, capital investment cases and KPI dashboards.
Strengthen the process - Automate recurring reports, document the consolidation workings, and support internal and external audits.
Partner the entity teams - Review trial balances for accuracy and consistent treatment, including VAT, withholding tax and transfer pricing on intercompany transactions.
What success looks like after 12 months
The consolidated management pack for all four entities is delivered on working day 6 of every month, with intercompany differences cleared.
Management receives a monthly margin view by customer and product line, comparing quoted and actual job costs.
The annual budget and quarterly rolling forecast run on a single, documented model.
At least two recurring reports are automated, saving the team measurable time each month.
